Trudelhaus Baden Elena Tamburini

The exhibition next generation explores what drives the upcoming generation of artists: the themes that concern them and the artistic means they use to express them.

The five artists Myrien Barth, Leonie Brandner, Roberta Müller, Lea Schaffner, and Elena Tamburini all share roots in the canton of Aargau. They emerge confidently from the complexities of the art world – some still moving freely along its margins, others already taking part in the game at its centre.

Elena Tamburini

Elena Tamburini (*1992, lives and works in Aarau) presents deeply expressive oil paintings. As a young artist, she gives direct visual form to what moves her personally. Devoted to classical painting, she prepares her own pigments by hand – following the traditions of the old masters. Her powerful works are compelling both technically and aesthetically. The exhibition features a series of paintings created during a stay in a medical clinic.
